About Me

Rags Hair & Beauty was founded by Rags Chetty over 30 years ago in Morningside, Durban, marking the beginning of a journey built on passion, dedication, and a love for beauty. Rags began her career by completing a three-year apprenticeship with Regis International, where she continued to work for a further eleven and a half years, gaining invaluable experience and developing her expertise in the beauty industry. After becoming a mother, she left her full-time position and followed her passion by opening a fully equipped salon from home.

The success of Rags Hair & Beauty also led to the opening of Classic Man Barber at Musgrave Centre, as well as the establishment of a new premises in Johannesburg , further expanding the Rags Hair & Beauty family. Today, Rags Hair & Beauty proudly carries forward more than three decades of experience, passion, and dedication — from humble beginnings in Morningside to a growing beauty brand built around people, passion, and making every client feel beautiful and confident.
